Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. - James 1:27

With such a passionate and poignant prodding from Scripture, how can we not direct our care objectives toward the widow and the orphan? How can we not reach out as the loving arm of the Saviour and minister to those who society has forgotten? We must attend to these marginalized groups in their helplessness and need! We must become a physical surrogate family for those who have no family of their own.
